Well, the new iMac has been announced. I'm underwhelmed by the new design of the iMac. I saw it and was like.. that's it? I am not sure I like the black bevel around the monitor and the black back looks ugly in the pictures. I'll have to see it in person. I checked out a site today that lets you compare the sizes of different things and I put in the sizes of my Mac Mini, my old PC towers, my Dreamcast and for good measure a can of soda.

Take a look

If I had my old NES and SNES that would have been an interesting comparison too I think the NES was bigger than either the Dreamcast or Mac Mini.

I was just reading not too long ago that some sites are saying that Apple is going to release a new iMac with a 23 inch screen and a Core 2 Duo CPU. This may be the right iMac to get me to want to buy one although I still like having a seperate monitor for a desktop computer so I can choose whatever size or type I want. There is quite a bit i would like to type too but I haven't been having the motivation. On sunday my family and I went to the mall and we got some organizers for our cd's. "In our Unreal Tournament 2004 test, the Mac mini Core Solo actually had a lower frame rate than the previous-generation Mac mini." I actually can't say I'm totally surpised but it is dissapointing. This is also despite the fact that everything else in the new mac mini is faster!

Apple has announced today the Mac Mini with intel processors. It has a lot of good things going for it but in the end I give it a thumbs down why?
